Description
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda, is a verdant magnificent swathe of rainforest spanning 331 square kilometers. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a biodiversity hotspot with an incredible range of species, a rich ecosystem that provides habitat for some 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, and over 1,000 flowering plant species. The park is also home to roughly half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas.
