Description

The Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park is located in the Melaky Region, northwest Madagascar. Covering 666 square kilometers, the park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its unique geography, especially the limestone karstic plateaus where groundwater has undercut the elevated uplands, and has gouged caverns and fissures into the limestone. The park provides a habitat for rare and endangered species and has an exceptional number of endemic species of plants.
